You will work with a small team to holistically support and work collaboratively with vulnerable and marginalised women, who have been referred into GMWSA to improve their health and wellbeing and social welfare by connecting them to non-medical and community support services.

To develop alternative responses and healthy coping mechanisms to life's challenges based on their individual contextual experiences and promote mental wellbeing with a strong emphasis on the whole person approach, individual experiences, relationships, and social conditions.

You will assist in the improvement of health, wellbeing, and quality of life, reduced depression and anxiety and improve levels of recovery from mental illness.

You’ll work to increase social inclusion, help women actively manage their own health, and promote employability.

You will be the primary point of contact within GMWSA to assist with locating, developing, and signposting to sources of holistic support within the community, such as healthy eating, walking in nature, gardening, mindfulness, arts and creativity, physical exercise, learning new skills, volunteering, and self-help.

The work will be trauma informed, collaborative, strengths based and most importantly client led. You’ll work closely with other services both internal and external such as GMWSA Therapy Service, GMWSA case workers, Probation, our partner agencies as well as other statutory and non-statutory agencies as appropriate to the individual.
