We are seeking to appoint a Supervising Social Worker to provide support to our Foster Carers throughout the Northwest. Reporting into the office rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, your role will be one of importance to carers and children.
Our Supervising Social Worker’s days are varied and interesting, you will be able to follow a flexible structure whilst supporting our foster carers, holding realistic caseloads and be able to provide high level of supervision, monitoring, and intervention of this,
You will be working within a Trauma informed practice model where we can support and follow therapeutic practice.
You will have the opportunity to complete Form F Assessments, be part of our Children & Young people’s participation and strategy events and be part of our out of hours service where you will support our foster carers on a rota basis.

Our young people may have had many adults come in and out of their lives, often adding to their trauma. Therefore, we are looking for committed and dedicated people that want to continue their career with a therapeutically based organisation and leading independent fostering agency.
For newly qualified social workers you will have access to the ASYE programme, formal CHARMS training as well as access to our peer and group clinical supervision provided by a qualified psychologist. You will have opportunities to integrate with our clinical, education and residential services. We also like to promote from within so you will have access to career progression opportunities

Our Team at Foster Careline
We are team of 12 and our team is growing, we have a dedicated and professional team with years of expertise working with CIC and Local Authorities. In addition to our permanent members of staff, we also have independent workers and panel members.We offer fostering and foster care services in Liverpool, Lancashire and surrounding areas, including Southport, Preston, Blackpool, St. Annes, Morecambe, Lancaster, Wigan, Chorley, and Warrington. Also, in the Merseyside area including Runcorn, Widnes, Wirral, Knowsley, and St. Helens
Hours
Our full-time hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 9am -17:00pm and Fridays 9am – 16:30pm
You will be expected to be in our office as a minimum of 1 day per week
The role is full time over 5 days per week.

Requirements
- Good written and IT skills.
- Able to communicate with children, colleagues, and external customers.
- Able to actively listen to others.
- Formal Social Work Qualification
- Valid Driving Licence
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
