About the role:
As the Student Services Advisor/Administration Assistant you will provide a quality customer service and administrative support service within the Student Services Admin Hub.
Working Hours: Hours worked between 8.30am and 17.30pm as agreed, over 52 weeks
Responsibilities as our Student Services Advisor/Administration Assistant will include:
- · Administering our student curriculum and enrichment programmes:
– Processing internal/external communication
– Maintaining and monitoring industrial placement and offsite activities documentation, as appropriate - · Providing customer service and administrative support to the Customer Services and Student Administration Teams as required. Duties will include:
– Maintaining filing and document management systems
– Responding to telephone and e-mail enquiries
– Recording a variety of information via internal systems
– Preparing documents and letters involving the use of Microsoft Word
– Providing administrative support to Student Finance - · Providing friendly and efficient customer service on a daily rota basis to the “one stop” Customer Services Helpdesk and/or Reception, enabling students, parents, other customers and staff to access a range of front line support services
- · Assisting with the co-ordination and running of a range of events including College Open Evenings, Parents’ Evenings, Induction Day and the Enrolment days, providing information and advice to prospective students, their parents and other visitors
- · Carrying out duties with efficiency and diplomacy, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times
- · Carrying out other such duties within the Student Admin Hub and Reception, commensurate with the grade of the post, which may be reasonably allocated
- · Participating in the agreed scheme for staff development, training and appraisal and be committed to continuous personal and professional development
As our Student Services Advisor/Administration Assistant, you’ll ideally have:
- · GCSEs (or equivalent) including Grade C in English and Grade D or above in Mathematics
- · Office based work experience
- · The ability to use Microsoft Office applications (including Word and Excel)
- · A desire to achieve excellent interpersonal, communication, organisation and administrative skills
- · The ability to work as part of a team, establishing a good rapport with colleagues, staff and managers
- · Flexibility in working pattern to cover peak times and the very occasional Saturday
