Are you a Band 5 Staff Nurse looking for a challenge in a new exciting role within our  Minor Injuries Unit preliminary based at  Chard Community Hospital within the West Community Urgent care rotation of Bridgwater,   Minehead this post  may involve some rotation to these units. 

We are seeking to appoint a community urgent care staff nurse to support our Emergency Nurse Practitioners in our busy MIUs.  If you would like to expand or learn new skills enjoy variety and caring for patients of all ages and acuity including trauma and illness this will be the post for you.

As a dynamic team with a broad scope of advanced practice including both injury and illness, we embrace variety and the challenge of learning something new every day. 

Main duties of the job

No two days are the same! 

The role involves initial assessment , wound care, assessment, and closure , plastering, administrating medication under PGD, and assisting the Nurse Practitioners in their role.
