Sexual Health Promotion Worker – African Caribbean and African MSM

Birmingham LGBT is seeking to recruit a sexual health promotion worker for African Caribbean and African men who have sex with men (MSM).
The aim of the role is to develop sexual health and well-being promotion work that meets the needs of African Caribbean and African MSM.
The successful applicant will join a motivated and enthusiastic team based at the LGBT Centre in Central Birmingham.
Birmingham LGBT is committed to equality and diversity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. The post will be subject to a genuine occupational requirement and is open to men only, from African Caribbean or African backgrounds (*Exempt under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1 [sex] and section 39 and 40 [race]).
Terms:
– NJC Salary Scale £23,249 (pro rata) and up to 5% matched pension contributions.
– Part Time 18.5 hours per week, with some evening and weekend work. 25 days annual leave entitlement (pro-rata).
– Fixed term contract to 31st March 2024.
– Responsible to the Sexual Health Services Manager.
