Our Service

Workplace Leeds provides specialist mental health Employment Support and Job Retention services throughout Leeds. Employment is an important part of mental health recovery, and we support the aim that people are able to find employment when they want, maintain a family and social life whilst contributing to their community, and avoid loneliness and isolation. The services are provided through a combination of one-to-one sessions and group work.

The Role
You will oversee the day to day delivery and overall performance of the Leeds Mind Workplace Leeds Service. Combining vision and direction with strong relationship building and people management skills, you will take accountability for project performance across our delivery.
You will need to have significant experience of employment support for people with mental health difficulties. You will be responsible for managing IPS Team Leaders, Job Retention Team Leaders, administrators which will involve providing regular supervision around IPS practice issues, as well as support around complex staffing or caseload issues.
Your role will involve building partnerships with local employment, further education providers and referral sources as well as maintain partnerships with stakeholder and commissioners.
Working with the Operations Manager, you will manage a complex budget, including ad hoc projects which fall under the Workplace Leeds remit.
You will work in partnership with Team Leaders and Senior Employment Specialists, ensuring the service in integrated within the NHS Mental Health teams.
You will also build positive working relationships with external partners, most notable NHS England, IPS Grow and National Mind.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Ability to build positive internal and external relationships

Knowledgeable in mental health and wellbeing with the ability to articulate in both clinical and employment-related contexts the role of employment in improving mental and emotional wellbeing

Relevant previous contract or project management experience focused on supporting performance, quality and compliance

Experience of achievement in a target-driven environment and ability to drive performance through focused performance management

Experience of line management and staff development

Proven experience of meeting and exceeding outcomes and targets

Hours – 37

Scale – NJC Scale PO2 points 29 to 32

Salary – £35,411 to £38,296 per annum

Contract – Permanent
