We’re thrilled to announce an extraordinary permanent, full-time opportunity with our renowned client based in South Ayrshire. The Senior Sous Chef will take on an integral role in running our client's high-quality restaurant, where you will deliver high-class dishes to the venue clientele.

Responsibilities within your new role
As the Senior Sous Chef of this prestigious property, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of food service in their well-known restaurant. You will be confident in effectively managing the other Chefs and kitchen team, encouraging them to achieve the highest standard of food production on a day-to-day basis, to meet the needs of the restaurant. A key duty of the Senior Sous Chef is to control and manage the food cost in line with the budget, source ingredients in accordance with the company’s sourcing policy and control production and portions in line with the agreed specifications. You will take initiative, have self-discipline, effective communication skills, and the ability to organise and direct the work of others.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
To succeed in this position, we are seeking an experienced and diligent Senior Sous with a demonstrated history within a similar multi-Rosette-winning venue. You will have a natural ability to solve problems efficiently in a professional and pleasant manner, whilst having proven leadership skills to mentor and manage a team of talented chefs.
As the Senior Sous Chef, you will possess strong communication skills as you will be required to work closely with a wide variety of people from various departments, cultures and backgrounds. You should have the ability to use your own initiative and have the self-discipline to work independently.
As an individual you should have excellent attention to detail, possess a positive and enthusiastic attitude and be able to meet targets in a highly demanding environment.
