Primary SEN Teacher for Resource Base
Contract: Part-Time, Monday to Friday Mornings only
SANZA & Tradewind Recruitment are looking for an experienced Primary SEN Teacher to join one of our two-form entry primary schools in Lewisham, London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching children with special educational needs in a resource base, providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the individual needs of the pupils in the resource base.
Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure that all children are fully included in classroom activities and making progress.
Monitor the progress of pupils and provide regular feedback to parents, carers and colleagues.
Attend regular meetings with the SENCO, other teachers and external professionals to review progress and plan interventions where necessary.
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and assessment data.
Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages pupils to engage in their learning and make progress.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching children with special educational needs, ideally in a resource base or similar setting.
Excellent knowledge of the primary curriculum and strategies for differentiation and personalisation.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external professionals.
A commitment to inclusion and a belief that all children can make progress and achieve their full potential.
This is a part-time role, working Monday to Friday mornings.
The successful candidate will be joining a friendly and supportive team of staff in a school with a strong commitment to inclusion and supporting children with SEN.
