We the Liverpool Register Office are proud of the first-class service we deliver from St George’s Hall. To maintain our excellent reputation, we are seeking to recruit a flexible and self-motivated person to join our team of Supplementary Registration Officers.
The teamwork in conjunction with full time staff to provide administrative support and a range of ceremonies including marriages and civil partnerships from the Register Office (St Georges Hall) and other approved venues within the city 7 days per week. In addition, there may be opportunity for training on other registration duties subject to customer demand. If this is something that you would be interested in, we would love to hear from you!
Applicants please note during periods of training additional hours, up to full time, will be required for up to a 6 week block.
Working hours our seasonal in nature and will vary; Hours of work are 1 day per fortnight Monday – Friday plus in winter, during Nov – March you will be required to work one in four Saturdays on a rota basis (an average total of 5.38 hours per week) and in summer April – October you will be required to work two in four Saturdays – (an average total of 7.25 hours per week). The salary will be pro-rata to reflect this.
Applicants will need a proven track record working within a direct customer facing service with the emphasis on data input and accuracy. You should also have an administrative background with excellent organisational skills and experience of working with customers whose first language is not English.
