We are looking to recruit an Operations and Event Administration Assistant to work in the busy Cambridge Wireless office, housed within the vibrant Bradfield Centre, on the Cambridge Science Park. We offer hybrid working with the expectation of working a minimum of two days in the office. Training for the role will be provided.

Description of role

Managing and maintaining the Cambridge Wireless membership database

General office admin, including answering phones, booking meeting rooms, setting up conference calls, printing etc.

Monitor stocks of office/event supplies and replenish stock as required

Help manage the ‘Events’ and ‘Hello’ email inboxes and distribute emails accordingly

Respond to website and membership queries e.g. guidance on how to use the Cambridge Wireless website

To work with Event Managers to support event administration, including event mailings, sending confirmations, building slide decks, creating agendas, printing badges and producing delegate lists/packs and packing for events

Manage the CPD accreditation process for events and liaise with delegates about their certification

As part of the events team, support the onsite delivery of events undertaking tasks, such as registration and speaker support

Carry out event website duties, including adding events, speakers, exhibitors and processing registrations

Ad hoc project duties as required

Essential Skills

Excellent Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Great organisational skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to build relationships with external clients

Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, set deadlines and work independently

Good team working skills

Desirable Skills

Experience with CRM/CMS systems

Experience with video editing software and audio visual equipment

Interest in or familiarity with the technology business sector

Experience working in a membership organisation

Experience in event delivery

UK driving licence

Salary: £21K – £25K depending on experience
Holiday entitlement: 25 days plus Bank Holidays
Enrolment into company pension scheme

Position: Permanent contract. Full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday but flexible hours are available and can fit around school hours.
