Brief Description

Working in the logistics centre, this role is very much hardware focused. Working with both new and old machines, you will be working with the team imaging, refurbishing and developing new kit for customers.

Qualifications Required

None specifically, but applicants should have a good level of education. An English grade 4/C or above would be preferrable.

Personal Qualities

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be professional and show enthusiasm. You will be working in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment where you can build a long-term career and will get professional training.

Skills Required

Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate and discuss knowledge of working with IT hardware. This could be building customer PC's for instance, or upgrading and rebuilding old machines.

Training to be Provided

CORE MODULES
The apprenticeship contains the following three core key modules which seek to develop the
knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be a successful Information Communications Technician.
The final module is a Pathway module to provide specialist career track skills and knowledge depending
on which track was chosen at the outset from the 3 options available.

Computer Fundamentals & Security
Gain an understanding of the core concepts in computing including hardware, software, security and troubleshooting.

Introduction to Networking & Cloud Services
An introduction to the fundamental cloud
concepts of networking and cloud computing, including networking
modules, devices and protocols.

Communication in Support
Support in IT requires good communications skills. Develop your communications skills by exploring the best practices of support.

Vacancy Detail

This apprenticeship would suit anybody looking to start an IT career with the focus very much being on hardware. This includes working with PC's, laptops and various other pieces of IT kit.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities including but not limited to as a Project Ops Engineer will include:
• Imaging refurbished Desktops
• Imaging refurbished Laptops
• Grading and cleaning of refurbished machines
• Scanning and recording device details
• Enrolling mobile devices / tablets into customer MDM’s
• Troubleshooting laptop / desktop faults
• Intune pre provisioning
• Verifying, documenting, and chasing information relating to tickets
