This position is a core developmental role within our IT department, where you will implement small projects and minor changes for the Wessex Water Group.
The Role
Our IT team are hugely welcoming and inclusive. They pride themselves on collaboratively working with each other to deliver projects, alongside providing a flawless service through to our internal stakeholders. Working closely with colleagues within IT Applications and with the wider IT department, you’ll pull together to ensure the projects delivered to our customers, are of the highest quality.
The projects you’ll be involved in as part of this position are wide ranging. The role is focused on major application change delivery, whether the application is built in-house or via a third party supplier.
A big part of this role is communication. You’re going to be interacting with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the Wessex Water Group, so your passion and influencing skills will aid you when implementing your various projects.
Day to day, you will be delivering high value projects. You will be able to lead and get the best from your project team through harnessing their specialist knowledge and combining that with your excellent planning, coordination and financial management skills. You’ll constantly have an eye on the continuous improvement of your implementations and how you interact with a complex business.
What are we looking for?
To really flourish within this role and team. We are looking for someone who wants to build on their previous major project experience. To be considered, you will hold a Project Management qualification such as Prince2, APM or DSDM at Practitioner Level, and with a keen appetite to learn and achieve more through CPD.
