About the role and our team

Are you looking for a role that offers you the chance to make a difference and generate improvements across Government operations?

Join our small, dynamic team as an Internal Auditor!

We audit all Government Departments and also provide our services to the Statutory Boards and Offices, offering you a variety of areas you can get stuck into, where no two audits are the same.

Working in audit provides you with an opportunity to assess the adequacy of management controls to ensure internal control processes are operating effectively and make recommendations for improvements.

Your audits will be allocated based on your skills and experience, so as you develop your skills, the audit activities will change. You could find yourself working within many different areas, including Nobles Hospital, Prison and Probation, Manx Utilities or schools.

If you have an eye for risk and can identify weaknesses in controls, we would love to hear from you!

What can this role offer me?

If working flexibly is important to you, you’ll be happy to know we operate a flexi-time system making it easier to reclaim any additional hours worked and to fit your other commitments around your work life.

This is a high profile role that allows you to increase and improve your knowledge and skills through training and study support.

You can also take advantage of the excellent opportunities we provide for personal and professional development. This includes the use of our Learning, Education and Development Centre and the fantastic range of fully funded courses we support.

As a Government employee, you will also be able to benefit from the Activ8 scheme, which provides sporting opportunities in your local area by qualified coaches.
