Carter Murray have exclusively partnered with an industry leader in the not-for-profit sector who are seeking an experienced Event Operations Manager with knowledge of event logistics and experience coordinating to join the business at a critical stage in their growth plans for their London venue.
Role Overview
You will report to the Head of Venues and Events Delivery, supporting on all aspects of planning, managing and coordinating the day-to-day operation of the company’s Venue business. You will be responsible for existing and self-sourced venue sales, mainly focusing on future Wedding and Photography events, and be involved in all aspects of the delivery and planning of events and for the commercial success of the venue.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee event planning, maintaining a high quality of attention to detail throughout the process.
Proven sales, logistics and event planning and delivery track record with a passion for selling and delivering event services in a Heritage, Historical or Unique venue.
Get to know the venue inside and out. Know the intricacies of the day to day running of all rooms and spaces.
Drive the commercial agenda, mainly the Weddings and Photography itinereary, including connecting with all commercial suppliers and internal stakeholders, including networking and raising the profile of the company to become a leading first-class venue.
Be prepared to be hands-on when needed including supporting events.
An education background in Business, Sales, Hospitality, Catering, or related subject.
Desired skills/experiences
2+ years’ experience of planning and delivering medium to large scale corporate events.
Good problem solver and good at motivating and promoting a team working environment.
Experience in setting and monitoring customer service standards.
Strong attention to detail in all areas.
Experience of managing a stakeholders in a fast-moving pressured sales environment.
Confident user of venue management software.
