What will the apprentice be doing?

As an Event Assistant Apprentice, you will be a key member of the Operations Team, ensuring that our portfolios of events run flawlessly. The Apprentice will provide high levels of customer care and support to both our customers and wider internal stakeholders throughout the event cycle. 

The Event Assistant Apprentice is expected to deliver a range of tasks to support the of running of various sized conferences and exhibitions throughout the event cycle. These include:

  • Supporting the Operations team liaising with exhibitors, delegates, sponsors and show contractors providing high levels of customer service at all times.
  • Supporting the preparation and maintaining the event exhibitor manuals.
  • Onsite preparation, including pre-show packing, ordering of goods, onsite packs.
  • Work alongside the Operations Team to deliver the event plan from pre-show planning to onsite delivery.
  • Assist the Operations Team in updating and maintaining the exhibition floorplan.
  • Supporting the exhibitors throughout the event cycle by dealing with exhibitor queries and communications.
  • Respond to incoming emails and phone enquiries and actively listen and identify customer needs and deliver excellent customer service at every interaction

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Event Assistant Level 3 with Gingernut Training. 

Our training delivery is based on a blended model of one-to-one sessions every 4 weeks, with group sessions, webinars, online courses, video, and additional support as required. This means that our learners have the guidance they need as well as the flexibility to learn around the requirements of their jobs.

• Customer care is key to this role so they require an understanding of good customer service
• Motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
• Computer literate including excel, word and outlook.
