The Job
In our newly created property structure, we are looking for an exceptional candidate to assist with the operational delivery of the CDC Capital and Special Projects Services and be solely responsible for a case load of minor projects, capital and revenue repairs. Managing activities led by external professional consultants, ensuring project teams are focused and building strong relationships with stakeholders will all be regular high priority responsibilities.
The use of a full suite of high quality and cohesive project documentation will be essential, alongside the ability to ensure projects are affordable, producing robust cost forecasts at all stages.
This role is key to manage all activities led by the external professional services consultants. Ensure project teams are focused, motivated, fully understands the milestones, timetable and critical issues and risks of the project.
The Person
You will have a Building Surveying degree or other technical construction qualification, coupled with a project management qualification and membership of a professional body.
You will have experience of Building or Project Management in a corporate environment with multiple sites. You will have operated in a multi-disciplinary, high profile, political environment managing multi-million-pound capital budgets.
We are looking for a personally effective role model who will go the extra mile to achieve service excellence. You will have an adaptable style with persuasion skills to develop and maintain complex relationships often with differing perspectives.
