The Company

A market leading manufacturer of technology utilised within the biopharmaceutical and life sciences industries are now seeking two Technicians to join a new Consumables Manufacturing team.

Due to the rapidly increasing demands of sales and the consequential business growth, the volume of consumable product sales are predicted to rise considerably and therefore two Technicians are required.

The Role

As a Technician you will be part of the production team responsible for the assembly and testing of products. You may also be required to support other areas of the production team and other internal departments where required to continuously identify design, process and efficiency improvements. The goal is to ensure work is completed to required timescales, output and quality targets.

Duties will include;

  • Hand assembly of intricate plastic and metallic products.

  • Manage high quality build in an efficient manner.

  • Follow defined processes, accurately.

  • Prepare the materials required for weekly production.

  • Ensure that production documentation is correctly recorded and is kept up to date.

  • Effectively communicate with the Team Leader to maintain the efficiency of the cell(s).

  • Ensure that the production tooling is in good operable condition and report / liaise with engineering if repairs are required.

  • Pack completed consumables in the correct packaging.

  • Enter data into the production records as required.

Training is provided -you do not need previous experience in a technical role. However, an interest, hobby or passion for technical engineering would be beneficial.

This is a Mon-Fri role. Start and finish times are tbc but it will be a minimum of 37.5hr/week (maybe more).

What is needed to apply?

  • Experience previously working in any kind of technical role OR an interest in or hobby involving technical engineering e.g. building or repairing things in your own spare time.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Keen to learn.

  • A team player.
