Climbing Instructor / Sports Centre Assistant

Description
A vacancy has arisen for an experienced full time Sports Centre Assistant to help us deliver sports services within our Sports and Wellbeing Centre (SAWC) at the RVC Hawkshead campus. The hours of work will be 7 hours a day on a shift pattern between 6.30am-10pm.
The ideal candidate will hold a Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI) qualification and will be looking to further their career in sports services. Working within our Sports and Wellbeing Centre including sports hall activities, gym, climbing wall and external pitches and courts.
You will play an important role in the provision of services to students and staff of the college. The postholder will contribute to the efficient operation of the SAWC in setting up equipment, instructing users on the Climbing wall and Gym and all other aspects of SAWC operations.
We are looking for candidates with a positive and flexible attitude, with great customer service standards, who wish to further their career in sports services.
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
Experience working in a sports Centre/gym environment.
CWI qualified or higher.
Good knowledge of a variety of software packages – particularly Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
Desirable:
12 months experience as CWI qualification holder
RSA approved route setting certificate.
Coaching qualification (FUNdamentals or higher)
PPE Inspection certificate
Experience using booking software.
