Citizen's Advice Brent
Chief Executive Officer
Based: London office (Willesden) / Home
It's an exciting time to join Citizens Advice Brent as we have recently won a significant contract to supply advice services to the people of the London Borough of Brent.
Since the pandemic we have striven to increase our accessibility to all sections of society while maximising the volume of clients we can help in person and virtually. With demand for our services increasing in Brent, and more competition for funding, we are aiming to maximise what we can achieve and to increase the funding available.
The new CEO will play a vital role in shaping the future, providing vision and strategic direction for the Charity, as well as taking responsibility for all aspects of operational management including business planning, income generation, effective delivery of contracts, projects and services, policy and influencing and oversight of operational support including IT, HR and finance functions.
As well as bringing well rounded leadership experience and an empowering and collegiate approach, you will demonstrate high levels of personal credibility and enjoy acting as an ambassador for the organisation. You will cultivate positive relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders, ensuring the profile and impact of Citizens Advice Brent and its services.
If you are an inspiring leader with the resilience and desire to lead in the fight against the impact of poverty and social injustice and would relish the opportunity to shape and direct our services going forward we would love to hear from you. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine and lasting impact as the charity's new Chief Executive.
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is of strategic importance for Citizens Advice and recognised as integral to all we do as a service. Central to pursuing our EDI mission is building diverse and inclusive teams in which everyone has a sense of belonging. To that end, we particularly welcome applications from people we would like to see better represented in our organisation and sector – people of colour, LGBTQ+ people and disabled people. If you are disabled and meet our minimum criteria you will be guaranteed an interview for this role and we will provide reasonable adjustments as needed. We follow the social model of disability.
