What will the apprentice be doing?
The successful candidate will be part of the team and will report to the Director and work under the direction of other team members to set the agenda for all things relating to logistics, office management, facilities & customer service
Successful Apprentice will be an integral part of the team and will actively contribute to the office environment
Logistic and Warehouse assistance:
• Receiving goods at the loading dock / reception and ensuring that the correct quantities and items have been received
• Checking loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt
• Checking incoming deliveries for the day in liaison with Production Manager
• Picking and packing customer orders and spares requests
• Preparing delivery notes and address labels for outgoing deliveries
• Coordinating and booking shipments with freight forwarders
• Processing documents related to freight forwarding such as customs clearance, invoices for payments of duty, etc
• Loading goods onto trucks for shipping
• Updating data sheets with outgoing deliveries and customer stock lists
• Emailing shipping confirmations to customers
• Keep the stockroom nice and tidy at all time
Office Admin and Customer service:
• Updating products and prices using CRM system Workbooks
• Database cleaning (checking names and addresses)
• Looking into training courses and network events.
• Preparing quotes and prices
• Sorting and sending out daily post
• Organising storage of catalogues and ensuring they are clearly labelled
• Organising storage of Samples and ensuring they are clearly labelled and updated
General office duties:
• Ensuring kitchens / communal areas are ready for daily use
• Replenishing utility area with paper, check shredder
• Reviewing and purchasing packing materials
• Ordering stationery and office supplies
• Shopping for office supplies using Petty Cash
• Organising the stock cupboards
• Filing of office documentations, including quotes, catalogues and invoices etc
Ensuring stock cupboard and lock up is clean, organised and tidy at all times
Desired Experience:
- Experience in distribution and experience in logistics (preferred)

GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 4 or Above.) Essential
