The Vacancy

We are currently looking for highly motivated and dynamic Band 5 Registered Nursesto join our dedicated Bank nurse team working in the Inpatient Unit (IPU).  

As a Bank Nurse, you will be involved in planning and providing specialist palliative care for our patients and support for their families. Experience in an acute hospital with some end-of-life care experience would be desirable. 

In addition to your clinical skills, you will need to be an excellent and empathetic communicator and a positive and supportive team member. As well as being part of the nursing team, it is also essential to work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach and to achieve the standard of care to which we aspire.

St Peter's Hospice is a well-loved hospice that provides extensive inpatient and community services, in Bristol and the surrounding areas. Every year St Peter's Hospice makes a difference in the lives of thousands of patients and their families when it matters most.

The Hospice is also a centre of educational excellence and we teach other healthcare professionals about how to care for people at the end of their lives, supporting the NHS and care homes provide end of life care.
