We are looking for an apprentice CAD engineer to join one of our successful Host Businesses as
part of a wider design team. On the job training will be provided as needed and you will be part
of the Aspire Shared Apprenticeship Programme studying at BTEC and NVQ Level 3.
The responsibilities of an apprentice CAD engineer are as follows:
? Be an ecient part of our design team.
? Responsible for the input of design parameters into bespoke automation software.
? Provide detailed instructions to manufacturing/engineering team of how the product is to be assembled.
? Assessing of orders to ensure that customers’ requirements can be met without additional information being needed.
? Provide information to purchasing department to ensure all parts are available by manufacturing date
? Providing occasional technical assistance to customers when needed.
? Attend meetings with senior sta to help identify and resolve any issues. The successful applicant will have the following characteristics:
? Good time keeping and prioritization skills
? A keen eye for detail when assessing customer requirements
? Experience in manufacturing industry preferable.
? Experience using CAD/CAM software highly advantageous
? A methodical and consistent mindset is essential.
Will be in line with Aspire Apprenticeship grading structure. There are excellent promotion
opportunities within the Host Company for the correct individual.
Ability to speak Welsh is desirable
