What will the apprentice be doing?
Working on a major contractor's site, we have an opportunity for an apprentice to move into the construction industry. The apprentice will start working on a large site in the heart of Barking.
You will then gain a L2 Interior Systems Installer qualification, focusing on drylining. Drylining is a process of concealing electrics, insulating, and providing insulation and acoustics to a room or area.
As a drylining apprentice, the successful candidate will be involved with:
- General construction site Health and safety
- Reading drawings and diagrams
- The makeup and structure of internal walls
- Cutting and measuring sizes and angles of plasterboard
- Plasterboard fixing to timber and metal frame
- Walls finishes including joints seals and taping
- Application of skim and sanding to perfect finish
- Complete quality assurance checks

Alongside working on site, you will receive formal training, delivered on a regular basis in the workplace, and work towards a Level 2 Interior Systems Installer apprenticeship qualification.
