The current internal publication detailing the University’s key governance documents covers the period from 1858 until 1990; thereafter information is held in a variety of structures split across many different sources and formats.

As part of a project to bring this resource up to date, and improve access to the information, an individual is required to identify and create a chronological collection of the Acts of Parliament, Ordinances and Resolutions affecting the University since 1990. Some of the work will focus on files held internally by the University’s Governance and Executive Support Team – other sources will be Scottish and UK legislation.

Having identified and gathered copies of the relevant information, the creation of an appropriate, searchable resource will be required. The individual will work with members of the Governance and Executive Support Team to develop the collected information into an easily accessed repository. Consideration will need to be given to effective maintenance going forward, to ensure that future changes may be added to the resource with ease.

We are seeking an individual to work with the Governance team who takes enjoyment from creating organised information structures and who has a keen eye for detail. The role will suit an individual interested in contributing to the creation of a valuable resource which will underpin an area vital to the long-term operation of the University.

Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 2, £21,134 per annum.
